Who do you like to listen to other than BB? I like typical 90s rock bands - Audio Slave, Creed, Nirvana, etc. I also like late 60s southern rock - CCR, Lynard Skynard, and I like Black Rebel Motorcycle club even though they're more modern.

There are so many different bands that I love, and I feel bad because I haven't even listened to all of the music from some of them. haha. Right now, I've been indulging my pop/mainstream side, listening to a lot of Lana Del Rey, Marina and The Diamonds, Ariana Grande, Taylor Swift, and some scattered songs from my childhood (Lifehouse, Blind Melon, Goo Goo Dolls, Matchbox Twenty, Savage Garden...). I love Paramore, I really enjoy The Pretty Reckless, and I've been trying to get into PVRIS and Tegan and Sara recently. My other favourite bands, though, are Evanescence and Flyleaf.

I looooove Flyleaf but I feel almost "wrong" listening to them after Lacey left. She was what made them...them. They're not Flyleaf without her.

I looooove Flyleaf but I feel almost "wrong" listening to them after Lacey left. She was what made them...them. They're not Flyleaf without her. They are so still Flyleaf without Lacey! Kristen is a very different vocalist, yes, but Lacey wasn't the heart of the band, she was part of the band. No individual member of Flyleaf is the heart. Their writing process is so collaborative, and some of my very favourite Flyleaf songs were written by Sameer and Pat on their own, without Lacey, so they've definitely still got the chops to go on without her. Besides, Kristen is a powerhouse, and while I really miss Lacey and I wish I could have seen them live while she was still in the band, I'm really glad that I got to see them with Kristen, and I'm so happy with Between the Stars. It's not my favourite Flyleaf record, and their future albums might not ever be my favourite either, but that doesn't mean they're not good, or that they're not Flyleaf. Sorry about the rant. I'm really passionate about Flyleaf and I'm used to having to defend them. Lol.

That reminds me that I had a dream the other night that BB had a different vocalist now. Except Ben was still in the band, playing the guitar parts that he plays now, so the new singer could sing without having to play. He did sound a lot like Ben, too, which was odd. It just felt uncomfortable after just getting used to four new members, haha.
I also get really defensive of bands when they get a new singer. They aren't always ideal or better than the old singer, per se, (though sometimes they are, in my opinion) but that's definitely not the only thing that makes them a band. Everyone's entitled to an opinion, and they can stop listening to the band if they please, but I get defensive when they say the singer is the only thing that makes a band, too.
Edit: Oh, I've been really into Tegan and Sara, too! Within recent months, I've been listening to a lot of Adelitas Way, Copper (Keith's old band that he fronted; yes, I'm very much plugging them), some more pop punk-esque stuff like Have Mercy and Transit, and more indie stuff like Sir Sly and Saint Motel.
