The rules here at Dark Before Dawn are simple. We're not interested in creating a dictatorship but still want to maintain an comfortable environment for those who join the site.
Rules:
1. Treat others how you want to be treated: We're not elementary children. While you may view what you're saying as funny or a joke, the person on the other end of the conversation may not. When in doubt, don't.
2. No porn, graphic, or otherwise NSFW posts: Many of us like to view the site at work or in a room with our families present. Besides, there are plenty of other sites you can do that stuff if you really need to.
3. The moderators have final say (and they're people, not robots): As I said earlier, we're not interested in creating a dictatorship. We will, however, do what's best for the group. If that means you lose your posting privilege (because you can't moderate your own behavior), then that's what it will come down to. And treat the moderators like they're people. They volunteer to do this. If you've read the rules, post the phrase "shallow bay" at the bottom of your intro thread.
4. All color posting is reserved for staff members: This just makes it easier for people to know when the staff is using their mod powers and when they're just chatting. Moderators will post in blue, Admins will post in red.
That's pretty much it. Most of us have been posting on forums long enough to know what is and isn't acceptable. As long as you post with the intention of sharing your love for all things BB, we'll all get along great. Happy posting xxx.
